This product is well built for $400 east to assemble if you watch they’re cable installation video on YouTube. I’ve loaded it with 160lbs for rows and it had no issue. My only complaint would be they need to add more spots to anchor the machine down with such as on the feet on the machine on the front bar.

I ordered this the first chance I could after it became available again. Shipping was fast (like less than a week). Thankfully I have a ratchet set that I used to put it together. It was fairly straight forward, but took me a few minutes to orient myself with the instructions for the cables. The station is exactly what we were looking for to incorporate into our home gym. The only cons were 1) grease was not included and I had to use some garage door lubricant that I had on hand and 2) I bought larger washers for the wall mounts because the top bolt heads were slipping through (probably because of the gap caused by the baseboard). Both were easy and inexpensive fixes. We love the machine and are now kicking ourselves for not ordering the station/accessories combo. I would definitely recommend this to anyone serious about training.

I received my BD-62 a couple of weeks ago. It arrived quickly. It is not a particularly complicated machine to put together, but even so the instructions were confusing and a couple of things were mislabeled. That said, with a little common sense and some wrenches it went together in about an hour. I attached mine to the basement wall with concrete anchors. For being such a small simple device, it is really offers a ton of exercise options and works very well. The pulley arrangement is good and I get the same resistance at all the different height settings. The up-down sliding action of the weight carriage isn't quite as smooth as some of the $2000+ machines that you'd find at a commercial gym, but it really works well and has broadly expanded my quarantine workout possibilities. The steel bar that the weight plates slide onto is starting to scratch already, and may get chewed up somewhat quickly, but I don't think that will really effect the function. Overall it was by far the best option for expanding my home workout routine, so far it works well. I hope it holds up.

Pros: Fast shipping--literally scheduled to be at my door within 48 hours from the time I ordered (additional delay was caused by UPS but I still received it within a week of ordering)Solid machineQuality parts/smooth operationAssembly easy (cavaet: see Cons)EXCELLENT Costumer ServiceLOVE THE MACHINE. WORKS well, smooth and quiet, doesnt slam even when I let the handles go. Literally every muscle group can be hit on this machine!!!!Cons:1. Machine was a bit beat up and the parts were opened when I received it2. The instructions for the cable installation are terribleTips: 1. Tighten the screws to the base enough that the poles wont fall over but tighten all screws last2. It does not come with tools. You will need two wrenches. I used a fixed wrench (11/16) to hold one side in place and an adjustable to actually tighten. 3. It is a very solid piece of equipment. I am a 5'6 ish, 170lb 41 yo female pro bodybuilder. Without attaching it to the wall, I could do some movements like arms, front and rear flies, curls, kickbacks without tipping the machine. But when I tried any row movements, I would pull the machine over. Dont try that at home. Bolt it to the wall. I am bolting 2x4 to the wall and then attaching the machine to the 2x4s. 4. If you are shorter than 5'6-5'7 you may need a second pair of hands or at least a chair to put this together, however, I put it together alone in a room with 85' ceiling without any major issue. 5. I would probably attach the top & bottoms castors first rather than at the end. 6. If you have an issue, contact Valor. They will fix it.

I've been very pleased with this purchase. You can do countless exercises with it, so it's great as a gym replacement tool. Movement is smooth and the frame is secure enough for my level of weights (less than 50lb). On arrival there was a broken wheel but it was replaced very quickly and easily by Valor Fitness.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • What is the widest point at the top of the unit? Not the base.

Thanks for your question! It is 8" wide at the top.

  • How high is this? I’d like to put in my basement if it is not too high

Thanks for your question! The overall height is 80" tall.

  • What is the cable length? How far from the starting point can the handle/attchment be pulled outward?

The length of the main cable measures up to 380in (31.8 ft). The total length of the cable, if pulled outward, can reach up to 60" from the starting point.

  • Is there anyway to attach this on something else instead of the wall?

There are other things that you can mount the BD-62 onto, with the correct hardware. You are able to attach the BD-62 onto a rack/rig setup, on drywall, or even on concrete. We would recommend contacting your local hardware store on the correct procedures to ensure the safest and most efficient way to mount the unit if you choose to mount it elsewhere.
