We bought two of these benches from Valor Fitness. Assembly on the first one was about a half hour and only 15 minutes for the second one. I’m 6’2” and 230, and I needed something more solid and capable than the 300-pound-limit bench I owned previously (CAP Strength FM-504). A variation of this same Valor Fitness bench is used in a series of strength-training workout videos that my wife and I do together, which is how I found out about this bench model. It is a terrific and well-spent investment to our workout gear.

This bench is very durable and well built. It feels commercial-grade, and I don’t have the moving around and wobbly feeling when I’m throwing a pair of 60 pound dumbbells over my head on bench reps that I felt on the previous bench. It weighs about 70 pounds in its own, but the handle and wheels make it easy to maneuver in your workout space. It’s by far the best workout bench I’ve owned to date, very highly recommended.

Product is fine. It was dealing with valor and tracking numbers being issued and then canceled before pickup. I wouldn't deal with them again just because of the stress involved

Service was good, shipped out fast but was eventually delivered the day after it was scheduled to be delivered. Assembly is not quick but not too difficult.

Product is good, heavy but solid and stable. But the gap between top pad and seat pad is terrible, so big that we have to stuff a towel in the gap for adequate back support.

the bench is nice, heavy and very stable. the bench is awesome but upon assembling it i noticed the bench would not go to the completely flat position the cause of this seemed to be from a small steel rod that was welded a little to high up on the angled rail (the rail on the main frame that slopes up against the back rest) the rod on the main frame portion of the bench was coming in contact with the large H shaped frame rails that attach to the back rest pad to early witch was stopping the back rest from going completely flat by about 3 to 5 degree my estimate but it was noticeable by the naked eye. I have to say i was a little displeased about this but i have work in manufacturing for 18 years and understand that these things happen no matter how hard you try somethings get though quality control its just a fact of life. now with all that being said that is when the shear awesomeness of the valor customer service kicked in and literally did everything right from staying in contact with me and keeping me completely update about every part of the process from the the return of the defective bench to the delivery of the new bench they even offered to pre-assemble the new bench witch i choose not to have done my preference. but all the way around the valor customer service team did everything to make things right with me and more so i would like to give a special shout out and thanks to Jackie V. from custom service and Jeff S. from customer service\spare parts and the whole valor team due to this experience and the nice heavy duty equipment i am a valor fitness customer for life thank you valor fitness. I will update this review when i receive the new bench

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • How much does it weigh?

Thanks for your question! The DD-21 weighs 79lbs.

The max weight load is 500lb in a flat position, and 650lb at 20-degree incline.

These max weight loads include the user weight - so if you weigh 150lb, you can add up to 350lb in a flat position or 500lb at a 20-degree incline.

  • If the max load at flat position is 500lb, and i weigh 225...then I'd only ever be able to bench press 225 in the flat position. Is this accurate?

Thanks for your question! Yes, that is correct.

  • Do y'all sell just the seat and back pads by itself?

Thanks for your question! Although we don't sell the seat and back pads by themselves, you can submit a spare parts request here if your pads have become damaged.

  • Is this bench stable from falling if stored in an vertical position?

We do NOT recommend storing this in a vertical position. Because of the wheels, it may roll if it is not stabilized or pressed against something to prevent it from doing so.

  • Do you sell this type of bench, but without the incline feature, just flat, with handle and wheels

You may be interested in our DA-6, Flat Bench. It does have a handle and wheels. Please click on the link here to be directed to our website listing. Hope that helps!
