I’ve had this squat stand, bought from Dick’s Sporting Goods back in 2005 and it’s still going strong. Quality material that’s lasted me through thousands of workouts over the years. Cannot recommend enough.
Although this piece of equipment took some time to put together, the instructions were very good and the end product is a great machine I’ll have for a very long time! Highly recommend purchasing!
If it were just the log I received I would probably have rated it at a 4, because there were some minor issues. That being said, the overall construction and design of the log is great. Feels super solid and well made. Only issue was a slight alignment issue of the hole the bolt goes into to hold the sleeve in place. But Valor’s customer service team worked with me super quickly to get the issue resolved. And not only did they seem to want to make sure it was fully taken care of for me, but they also seemed to legitimately want to make sure to have a thorough understanding of the issue to make sure it doesn’t happen on other logs (as they said they haven’t had this issue before). That in and of itself shows how committed they are to the quality of their products. Definitely will be buying from them again in the future!
Quality parts. Easy to assemble. Solid function. It’s durable, glad I spent a little more instead of going with a cheaper brand on Amazon.
Machine is high quality. Arrived in 2 boxes and they are HEAVY but that’s because everything is good quality. It was not easy to put together as none of the pieces or hardware were labeled in anyway which was annoying but the machine itself is smooth and works great
I bought this as a Xmas present for the wife. She is very happy with it. This is much easier for her to use than my rack. I assembled it by myself. You should really have two people for that. It’s a solid piece of gym equipment. I’m a big guy and plenty of room for a bench press. The bar slides up and down smoothly. A few minor issues in arrival but their warranty rep. called me back. A much better response than Titan. Over all, we would definitely recommend.
Everything is great with this machine except one thing. The display has no backlighting so it’s very hard to see unless you flash a light directly on it. Gotta fix that!!
Love my new addition to my home gym - smooth pulley action and the arm is extremely well built.
I ended up wall mounting it for the time being and sharing my install for inspiration for others in the future. This install is with a standard piece of drywall.
Attached to a 2x10 board cut down to 3ft. Used new mounting hardware - two 1/2in bolts 3" long with washers on both sides. When putting in the top bolt I kept the bolt backed out and started screwing on the washer and nut. I cut small holes in the drywall to account for the bolt head.
Then attached the board with arm to the wall with 5 GRK RSS screws, 5/16" x 5-1/8" instead of lag bolts. 2 screws into the studs on each side and then one in the middle through the bottom arm hole. Depending on the rigidity I will likely add one more screw to each side, but RSS screws are structural and heavy duty, we use them on outdoor decks.
Should not have to pay extra for the Olympic sleeves, however, they work perfectly for my Yukon 2x2 power rack.
This is an excellent alternative to the combo racks from Hansu, or Texas Strength Systems. IMO, the finish is better than either of those. I mistakenly received some levers that had a manufacturing defect, and the team immediately sent out replacements! Excellent customer service. I would highly recommend purchasing equipment from Valor.
