This is a good weight bench for a home gym, but there are some flaws. The very tip of the bench feels like it could break if you sat on it with too much weight. The hooks for the bar to go on are set at too much of an angle, and they are very small, so it's hard to get the bar back on when you are struggling. Also, they are coated in some sort of black paint that rubs off when the bar touches it. The spotting platform on the back of the bench is awkward. It's too small to really stand on, but then it gets in the way if you actually want to stand behind and spot someone safely. When you do try and stand on the spotting platform, you're too high up to have any leverage and it's not safe to spot someone.

Excellent bench. Set up well. You can do a lot with this. Not loaded up with a bunch of ding-a-ling junk. A good, well built sturdy bench that you will keep the rest of you life. This is the one. Get it. You won't be sorry.

Bench came as described and has been working flawlessly for the past months. Assembly was easy with simple hand tools. Only issue was shipping company destroyed the box and lost parts. Valor shipped out replacements immediately at no cost.

I've had this bench for over four year & I use it two to three time per week without problems. When I first receive it I wanted the J-hooks to support the bar but the one that come with the bench is sort of a half Y shape & are smaller than the J-hooks it takes a little getting used to using but it workout ok.

Pros:
-Quick delivery.
-Easy to install.
-Reasonably priced

Cons:
-It says it's rated at 400lbs + spotter's weight, but the uprights sway and flex a little when racking 300lbs+.
-Pad is very firm. Some folks like that, so this could be a Pro or Con

Overall: This is a good value for the money & sufficient for home use. If your are a serious bencher 300lbs+, you might want to go with a HammerStrength or similar commercial bench. For me, this suites my needs well.

Solid bench for the money. I would not go cheaper if you are an avid weight lifter and intend to go above 225. At 6'1", 78" reach, the top rack is perfect. The instructions are extremely straight forward, making the bench easy to assemble.

What you need to know...this is nice sturdy home gym bench. It almost feels like a commercial gym bench. It bolts together so you can get it through a regular door. This has had 3 people using it almost daily for a month. The pad is nice, it feels good, firm and sufficiently padded. We use proper oly weights on a traditional bar and a synergy swiss bar. When you sit and lean back the dimensions are right where they need to be. I have been doing this sort of thing for 40 years and I know what a proper bench should feel like. This is not a 4-5 star review because we all have the same complaint, the top rack position is too high and the bottom position has us racking and unracking the bar partially extended. I have no confidence in simply racking the weight, I have to leave an extra rep in the tank so I can carefully rack the weight. When your working weight gets heavy you will be forced to have a lift off or your first rep will be like a partial pin press. This will eventually cause me to buy another bench or modify this one by relocating the rack. If this is not an issue for you then you will experience a 5 star bench for a great value.

This hook position on the rack is absolutely terrible! the bottom ones are good if you are under 5'7 the top hooks for racking are only good for people at least 6'2. By trying to rerack on the top position you are also taking the risk of placing the bar over the rack. Dangerous and not a smart set up!

Very nice bench, strong and comfortable. If I had to do it again I would spend more money on the bench with the spotter stand because you can't always depend on your workout partners.
