Perfect for my needs. Worth paying a little more to get a high quality product.

This thing is made of good steel and is well padded. It is well designed. There are seven bolts and washers. It is the right size and height and very strong. I normally wait a certain amount of time with different items before I review them, but in this case it is not necessary since this is like a simple well made tool and the quality and value are obvious.

As some of the serious weight lifters know, most weight benches that have incline capability are usually worthless because the seat typically doesnt angle. When you set the bench for an incline position and the seat remains flat, your butt slides off the bench whenever you put "real weight" on a bar or lifting heavy dumbells. I did a lot of research looking for a remote incline bench that had no attachments or any bells and whistles and actually had complete adjustability. My second priority was cost.... No point in breaking the bank if this is for home use. Here are my pros and cons of this bench from the time i opened the box.

Pros:
- Very sturdy with solid construction
- High capacity capability
- Bench is comfortable in all incline positions
- With 275 lbs on an incline, there is no lateral movement or squeaks in the bench.
- Affordable
- Seat is not fixed.

Cons:
- Upon opening the box, the hardware was not properly secured and was loose in the box. I opened it up and washers and nuts were everywhere and one of the bolts were missing (probably fell through the seam of the box). I had to go to the hardware store to match the bolt. This was an inconvenience.
- You cant raise the bench to a 90 degree incline, so forget doing dumbell presses with back support in your shoulder routine. I was aware of this prior to purchase though. I am yet to find a non-commercial bench that offers this feature.

It's not quite commercial grade, or what I would find in a shabby high school weight room, but I think it's going to do just fine for my home gym. It's definitely got heavy gauge metal for the base, and this thing weighs a lot. It's difficult to move across my carpet which could prove troublesome moving it out of my squat cage, but it's also good meaning it won't slip during bench presses. Apparently in my search, I looked at so many benches that I got confused and didn't realize this one didn't have a decline. That's my mistake, so just beware if that's something that you have to have in your bench... this one doesn't have it. The gap between the back support and lower body support is fairly large, larger than I've ever seen to be exact, but this can be circumvented by moving your back further up the back support. Also, this bench is pretty tall and I cannot rest my feet flat on the floor (I'm 5'6"). We will see if this proves to be problematic. The adjustments for incline are super easy to work! It only took me about 30 minutes to put this thing together and the instructions were fairly easy to figure out. There is some wobble in the extension pieces on both the upper and lower supports. But, I am thoroughly convinced that the heavy gauge metal on the base of this is substantial enough to hold quite a bit of weight... we are not talking 700 lbs but more heavy duty that anything else I saw below the $200 mark on prices. To sum it up so far, I am happy with my purchase.
