I researched about every plate on the market and the OPPU plates have everything I'm looking for: urethane for durability, a tight weight tolerance, a steel insert, and grip handles all at a competitive price. They're just really nice plates. On top of that, Valor has great customer service. They are responsive to all questions and immediately took care of a small issue that came up. A+ all around.

At some point, weights are just weights and these are on the more expensive side for this size plate, but the handles on these small weight plates may mean the difference between a drop set and a broken foot. The finish is nice and protective of the plates and the lifting environment. They slide in super easy and are very easy to remove off my olympic bars. Because of the handles, the plates are also good for low weight PT stuff!!! Good product!!!

These plates arrived quick, and work especially great for deadlifting, as they don't roll when dropped (hence the unusual outer design).

The only slight downside is the material residue on the plates, which I've found on all the valor polyurethane plates I've ordered. Somewhat smells like formaldehyde...but after a quick rubbing alcohol cloth wipedown I've found the plates to have standard texture. I'm assuming this is from the plates being so fresh off the machines, which is fine, was just unexpected.

Not that this applies to this particular weight, but heavier weights are sold individually (IE not in sets of 2 or 4 like the smaller weights)- be aware!

There wasnt anything i disliked about this product. Its great to workout with and it is made with great material and will last a very long time.

  • Is it possible to order just two 10lbs weights?

    At this time our OPPU-10 is only sold as a quantity of 4 per box and cannot be broken open to only purchase 2.

  • How long till it arrives? I see free delivery but not a date??

    Most orders are delivered within 3-5 business days. However, we cannot confirm an exact delivery date. Once an order is picked up by the shipping carrier it is all in their control. When your order ships, you will receive tracking information so you know when to expect your order.
