What size masonry bit for the expansion screw? Instructions say 8 mm but that is too small and the screw would not tap in.
Apologies about the confusion but we would recommend using a 7/16" masonry bit for the expansion screw.

How far out are you from the wall when using this for dips?
From the wall to the beginning of the knurling is about 14" apart. So, if you stick within the 8" of knurling, you can be anywhere from 12"-18" away from the wall. Please view picture below for clarification.

What are the measurements of the bolt hole spacing for the foldable dip station? I would like to know how far all the bolts are from each other for deciding if I can mount it
The bolt hole spacing for the Foldable Dip Station has two main anchor points. Please see photo below for clarification. The top hole placements, 'x' measure to be 10" apart. The bottom hole placements, 'y' (not visual on photo) are spaced about 4-3/4" apart. These measurements was taken from a unit that has been secured onto cinderblock walls.

What is the measurement from the backplate to the end of the bar? If it was in the locked position for use
From the backplate to the end of the bar measures to be about 22-1/2". Please see photo below for clarification.

Does this mount into a wall stud? The bolt holes look too wide to hit a stud.
The DP-2 wall mounted dip station come with mounting hardware for concrete/brick walls. If mounting into wood studs you may need a stringer. The stringer would be a 2 x 4 board that would mount to the wood studs and the DP-2.
