Hi- I own this product and I would like to know whether there is any recommended lubricant for the machine and any guidance on how to lubricate the machine? My Machine is starting to Make some sounds and not be as smooth so it appears I should be taking some type of action to help. Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks! Anthony
We recommend using any silicone based lubricant for the guide rods and bearings in the pulleys to help with funciton and smoothness. Each pulley has a bearing inside the center hub which can be lubricated as needed. If that doesn't help please email info@valorfitness.com and we can help further.
-
does is have to be mounted to the wall?
Yes, the BD-62 does have to be mounted to the wall to function properly. The support from the wall keeps everything upright and straight
-
Have the wall-mounted brackets been updated from flat to angled to avoid baseboards? What are the dimensions of the new footprint and mounting heights?
Yes, the BD-62 comes with 2 angled wall-mounting brackets for top and bottom. The brackets are 4 5/8" from the ground to avoid the baseboards. The footprint of the base is 24" x 25" and the plate carriage is 26 1/4" wide.
-
Could you tell me what the 'travel distance' is of the 'bar' holding the weights to the top of the tower? I'm thinking of buying 2 wall mounts in order to do high and low cable flies, but I'm concerned I won't be able to do full extension. Thanks.
The plate carriage travels a distance of 60" from the resting base position to the top of the tower.
-
can this be used for tricep push downs and if so, for up to what weight?
You can use the BD-62 for tricep pulldowns. The weight max is 200 lbs.
-
How long is the section of the machine on the bottom that attaches the main section of the machine to the wall bracket? I am assuming it is approximately 8-9" based on a previously asked question about the max diameter of the weights that can be used, but please confirm.
The wall bracket that sits between the main section of the machine and the wall is 8". Also, the measurement from the plate pegs to the wall is 10 1/2" which would allow you to use any plate with a 19" diameter or smaller.
-
It looks like one of the pics has the bottom and top mounts angled either up or down but all the videos and other pics show them straight. Which is the actual current version? I ask because I have baseboards. Thank you.
The current version of the BD-62 has both top and bottom angled mounting brackets to accommodate for base boards.
-
do have a wall mounted cable station that has 2 inch weight posts?
The BD-62 is our only wall mount cable machine but you can purchase our EX-10 Olympic sleeve adapters to make the BD-62 more compatitble with 2" plates.
-
Hi. What is the largest diameter weight plate that the bd 62 can accept?
The BD-62 can accept any weight plate 19" in diameter or smaller
-
Can you set up 2 of these to create a cable crossover ?
Yes, you can set up two of the BD-62 wall mount cable stations to function as a cable crossover. Since the pulley brackets swivel side to side you can use them at almost any angle.
-
Can it attach to a concrete wall? Thanks
Yes, you can mount this to a concrete wall. The bolt included is for wood studs but you would need an expansion bolt for concrete.
-
Hello, Would the upright pulley pin holes be able to accommodate 5/8" accessories or are they of a smaller diameter?
The holes in the chrome upright are 1/2" in diameter.
-
Is there a weight stack option available for the BD-62?
We do not have a weight stack option for the BD-62, as it is meant to be used with plates.
-
Could this bolt up to a Rogue Monster Lite Squat Rack instead of a wall?
The BD-62 is specifically meant to be mounted to a wall. Any misuse or incorrect mounting will void any warranty.
-
How much distance is needed from the wall to where someone would be standing while doing these exercises. Want to make sure we have enough space for this.
It would depend on how you are using the machine - if you pull both handles simultaneously, the cables extend up to 5 feet. If you pull just one handle, the cable will extend up to 10 feet. The amount of space you need will depend on how you use it, what specific exercise you may be doing at the time, etc.
-
What size bolts are needed to attach the unit to the wall?
All bolts are included in the purchase.
-
How high off ground is top of bottom mounting bracket? Trying to plan how I would mount.
The top of the mounting bracket is approximately 9 inches off the ground.
-
Do you sell replacement cable for the BD-62 and how long is the cable?
To purchase a replacement cable, please give us a call at (727) 895-9525.
-
Is it possible to do bench presses with my BD-62 unit?
It may be difficult to do presses while laying flat on a bench, and this is not one of our promoted exercises with this unit, but you can perform standing chest press at different angles to emulate the bench press. However, if you are able to find a way to perform flat bench presses and you feel it works for you, then by all means go ahead.
-
If I load the machine with 40lbs of plates and use only one pulley how much weight will I be pulling?
If you only use one side of the pulley you subtract 5 lb for every 20 lb you add. So if you load the machine with 40 lb and use only one side, you will be pulling 30 lb. If you added 60 lb and use only one side, you will be pulling 45 lb, and so on and so forth. So each time you add 20 lb, and use just the one side, you will subtract another 5 lb.
-
Hi does the Ex-1 attach directly to the cable station, so that we can use any bench, or does it need to attach directly to one of the Valor DD benches to use as a leg/thigh support for lat pull downs? Thanks!
The EX-1 would not attach directly to the cable station, it would have to be attached to one of our benches - specifically the DD-4 or DD-25.
-
So, I decided to go with this machine because I liked the smaller foot print and added possibilities but now I can’t seem to find a Lat pull down bench seat with the leg/thigh support like on the cb-12. Any suggestions?
-
Hello, if I bought two and spaced them out, could I use them for cable crossovers? Also, the room I want to use these is has baseboards - do I use some shims to make sure there's good contact with the wall?
Thanks for your question! Yes, you can do cable crossovers if you purchase two machines. We have seen people use one machine, but it's difficult to get the full range of motion. In regards to the baseboards, it depends on the depth - but a 1x2 or 1x4 piece of wood would work best to make sure there is a sufficient mount with the wall. It will be more sturdy/stable than other "shims" and may even look nicer.
-
Can this be attached to one of your racks/rigs?
Thanks for your question! The BD-62 must be mounted to a wall. If it is modified to attach to another surface, it may void your warranty.
-
Will bumper plates fit? And can you do cable flys with both?
Thanks for your question! Yes, the BD-62 will fit bumper plates. You can do cable flies standing in front of the machine - the BD-62 is excellent for single arm cable crossovers as well as several other exercises.
-
I plan on buying a lat bar to use with this machine. How would I attach it, to one pulley or two?
Thanks for your question! You can attach the bar to both pulleys, or just one side.
If you use both pulleys, it is suggested you use a separate carabiner clip to attach to the 2 clips from both sides of the pulley, and then attach the lat bar to the added carabiner clip. In this scenario, the resistance ratio would be 1:1, so if you load the machine with 25 pounds, you will be pulling 25 pounds. If you just use one side of the pulley to attach the lat bar, or another attachment, take into account that every 25 pounds you subtract 5 pounds. For example, if you load the machine with 25 pounds, you will actually be pulling 20 pounds. If you load the machine with 50 pounds, you will actually be pulling 40 pounds, and so on and so forth. -
How wide is the top cross member. I have low ceilings in my basement, wanted to know if the top cross member would fit in between ceiling joists.
Thanks for your question! The crossbeam at the top of the unit measures 8 inches wide.

Hi! The spring pin to lock the trolleys in place broke after 4 years of good use. I know I can get this piece in any place on the internet but I’d like to know if you have the specific sizes for the outer and inner parts of the pin. Thanks in advance.
The spring pins are a size M16 with a pitch (thread size) of 1.5. We do have spare pins available for purchase as well. You can reach out to us by filling a Spare Parts Request Form here, and one of our representatives will reach out to you.
-
What is the actual weight on the cable end (the end with the handle attached) when the machine is fully loaded?
The pulley ratio of the Wall Mounted Cable Station is 1:1. That means that if you load it with 100lbs of weight, you can expect 100lbs of force (split between both handles).
-
I see the pulleys are 88mm what are the hole dimensions of the pulleys used?
The center hole dimensions on the pulleys are 10mm in diameter.
-
Can the machine be used for side leg raises
Our Wall Mounted Cable Station is able to accommodate that workout. It does NOT come with an ankle strap attachment, but we do have those available as well (you can click here to view our listing).
The great thing about this unit is that it has plenty of settings that you can adjust for a plethora of exercises. In this case, you can adjust the bracket to its lowest setting, and the pulleys allow for smooth functionality when performing leg raises. -
What is the weight ratio on the wall mounted pulley system?
The pulley system for the Wall Mounted Cable Station is a 1:1 ratio (i.e., If you put 100lbs on the plate holder, you should expect to be pulling 100lbs of force).
-
I ordered this pulley system with the attachments. Do I need to order separate weights? If so, where can I buy them?
Yes, you will need to purchase weights separately. Below is a link to our webpage that has all of our weight plates. We have various designs and styles. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us!

Does this unit come with weights? If not is there a set that goes the best you recommend? Thank you
The Wall mounted cable station does NOT come with any weights included. We do offer a plethora of weight sets to match your desired weight limit. I have attached a site to our plates page. There, you can browse the many types of weight plates that may interest you. Each set has it's own combination that you can choose from.
For this specific unit, it does have a maximum weight load of 200lbs. So, I have attached some links below to sets that we would recommend with this unit. Also attached is our Olympic Adapter Sleeves that are intended to hold these weights better.

I was looking into upgrading from plastic to aluminum pulleys. What size are the stock pulleys that come with the BD-62? Would 88mm/114mm pulleys work as an upgrade?
Thank you for your question! Our stock pulleys has a overall diameter of 90mm, which 88mm should work just fine. The center hole, where the bolt goes through, measures to 10mm in diameter, and the width of the pulley measures to be 22mm. Hope that helps!

My basement ceiling height is 81 inches. But the trim brings my mounting height to about 79 inches. I really like the angled brackets here as I think it’ll work perfectly and avoid the trim. What is the height from the floor to the top angled bracket? Not the top of the machine (which I know is 80 inches).
The top angled mounting bracket would start at around 67" and go to around 73" from the ground. The mounting bracket extends back 8" and is 9" long with a 6" section for the mounting hardware.
-
What is the finish of this machine? Gloss or flat black?
The finsih on the BD-62 is powder coated black with chrome guide rods and selector post.
-
BD-62, Wall Mount Cable Station: What is the height?
The BD-62 is 80" tall
-
