I've been using this rope for about 4 weeks. I'm not a fitness intellectual, rather I"m a 5 day a week for decades exericiser. I'm new to rope use too. My experience with the Valor Fitness MB-5 rope has been great. It's shorter than my fitness center's ropes, which I like. Initially, I wasn't sure if I'd that the shorter length. I'm happy with it. To keep my hands for sliding on it, I covered the rope with kitchen slider liners. That's worked great. I use the rope for a variety of pull downs/ups and horizontal moves. To date, I'm pleased and recommend it with at least a 4 and half to 5 star rating. I checked out several at my local fitness stores before I bought this one. I'm happy with my choice. Go for it!!

I got this rope as part of my BD-61 crossover station package and liked it so much I purchased a second one. the rope is nice and thick and the end stops are wider than some of the other ropes out there. I like the wide stops because my hands don't easily slip off the end this is a great rope used for triceps, chest pulls and rope curls.
