The mounts for this bar are 23.5" apart, guaranteeing you have to build a mounting board on top of the cost of this bar. They really need to do one of two things... either (1) expand the bar and have wide mounts 32" apart, with a center mount at 16", or (2) shrink the bar and put the mounts 16" apart. The bar and the mounts also came heavy scratched up, so you can see the steel on all three pieces in several places. Might as well just provide the bar bare giving the condition it arrived in.

If you are going to wall mount a pull up bar, avoid buying this product. This is really a ceiling mount only product.

This pull up bar is the bomb. The knurled contact points are a nice touch giving just a little traction but not overly abrasive. The multiple grip points a perfect for varying your workout. This thing is solid as a rock and doesn't move a millimeter once you get it all bolted down nice and tight. I did customize my install by hanging the two contacts from 2 2x4 bolted together and afixed to the 2x7's in my article space. Then I cut the ceiling in the shape of the metal that would be showing through so it had a nice tight fit without exposing the article to the user below. Getting this thing out in right is definitely worth the extra effort. I also picked up a set of gymnastics rings and now I'm hitting every muscle group above the waist. Don't think, just buy this bar and get fit!
