Log Bar for Strongman Training

Enhance your Strongman equipment collection with a strongman log barbell. These are ideal for powerlifting heavy weights in the intense strongman sport. Perform exercises such as the log clean and log press, and utilize important leg, back, and shoulder muscles. Valor Fitness Log Bars are proven in Strongman competitions and make a perfect addition for at-home strongman training.

Features and Benefits:

  • HEAVY DUTY LOG BAR: Our Strongman Logs are constructed with high-quality steel. They have a black powder-coated texture for a strong and durable finish. They are strong enough to take the use of competitions across the state of Florida.
  • NEUTRAL GRIP LOG: A neutral grip reduces stress on the shoulders and wrists for all log press workouts. The hand grips are placed 6" from the inside rubber edge and 24.4" apart to create a relaxed, comfortable grip during use.
  • ESSENTIAL STRONGMAN EQUIPMENT: Due to the shape of the log bar, you can test your strength and engage a total body of muscles. Each muscle is utilized throughout the log press, as the log bar progresses from the ground to the overhead position in the log clean & press.
  • REMOVABLE LOG SLEEVES: You have the option to remove the sleeves and just use the lifting log by itself. This unique feature gives you the option to train proper technique before adding heavy weights. Each log features sleeves with a 2" diameter to accommodate Olympic weight plates.
  • RUBBER EDGES: Our log bars feature a wide opening with smooth rubber edges for comfort while lifting the weight log.
  • MEASUREMENTS: The 8" Strongman Log measures 72.25" long, with a 7.5" grip, and a 13.5" weight sleeve. The larger 10" log bar is 72.75" long, has a 9.5" long grip with a 13.75" sleeve.
  • ADDITIONAL: The 8" log barbell measures 8.625" in diameter and weighs 53 lb. 10" bar measures 10.25" in diameter and weighs 68 lb. Note: this log barbell is NOT meant to be dropped directly on the floor. Only drop if using crash mats, safety pads, tires, or a combination of the 3. Max weight load of 500 lb.

Great product, great customer support

If it were just the log I received I would probably have rated it at a 4, because there were some minor issues. That being said, the overall construction and design of the log is great. Feels super solid and well made. Only issue was a slight alignment issue of the hole the bolt goes into to hold the sleeve in place. But Valor’s customer service team worked with me super quickly to get the issue resolved. And not only did they seem to want to make sure it was fully taken care of for me, but they also seemed to legitimately want to make sure to have a thorough understanding of the issue to make sure it doesn’t happen on other logs (as they said they haven’t had this issue before). That in and of itself shows how committed they are to the quality of their products. Definitely will be buying from them again in the future!

Heavy competitor in strongman and this log is exactly what the wife needed 10” log that can withstand and beating and that’s very well constructed. I give this 10” log a 5 star because I’ve bought many logs and this one for the price is absolutely the best option if your a female and plan to compete in the strongman community. One thing valor needs to do next is 12” competition strongman logs and you best believe I will be in line to pick one up.

I love this thing! Log OHP is way better than barbell OHP.
Many logs have an other-than-nominal (not a true olympic) sleeve diameter, which means the weights slop around.
This has true size sleeves.
Also, other logs have a powder coat paint job on the sleeves, which will only wear or chip away over time. This guy has a "stainless steel like" finish (I cannot confirm the material).

The only complaint I have is that on their website and on Amazon, they say the 10" log is 67 pounds.
I weighed the log and it is 58 pounds, so nine pounds off.

This came in quick and was easy to put together. It has got a lot of use at my home strongman gym. There are about 7 people that regularly work out at my house and use this. Everyone likes it. The width and diameter of the handles works very well for everyone. We use car tires to drop it on and have loaded it with up to 200lbs. My home gym is under a carport so everything gets exposed to a lot of humidity and this is still holding up very well. Actually all my valor fitness stuff is.

This log works prefect for my little garage gym and would recommend. My only complaint is that I doesn’t fit my power rack.

Should’ve been made 2” long to fit on the spotter bars. Currently, it’s too short to rest on the weight sleeves and too long to rest on the actual log. Crazy really

Awesome product for compound lifts

This thing is great! I recommend crash pads because it’s a piece together, not 100% welded. I have already used over 200lbs with it, and it seems to be holding up without any sign of crying. Lol.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • How many mm is the grip on 10in log bar

The handles on the OB-LOG are 33mm in diameter

  • How much does the 10in weight?

Thanks for your question! The 8in weighs 54lbs, and he 10in weighs 67lbs.

  • What is your recommendation for how we should choose the diameter of the log bar? I’m male, 5’9”, 190lbs.

When choosing the correct log there are a couple variables to consider such as:

    1) Training experience (novice, intermediate, or advanced) - consider what the log is primarily going to be used for in training.

    3) If you plan on competing (as there are standard log sizes).

    4) The weight of the log is also something to consider as our 8" log weighs 54 lbs, 10" log weights 67 lbs, and our 12" log weighs 90 lbs.

We hope these considerations help you to choose the correct log bar for you.

  • How much does the 12 inch log weigh

The 12" Log Bar weight about 90lbs.
