Needs better hardware to attach to wall

Though I knew there would not be knurling on the various grips, you don't realize how important it is until you don't have it. The grips are very smooth, so adding grip tape is a must. I would have gladly paid a little more to knurling. The whole set up is fairly solid, however one of the support bars, has a bend in it, enough so that it does not line up with the upper bar and misses the stud the upper bar is tied in to. The quality of the bar is so so, but for the price, you cannot complain too much. This will do a good enough job.

*Update Valor did reach out to send me a replacement part, which I appreciate. I have chose not to take them up on it, as the chin up bar is set up and working as is. The bend is at the bottom of the support and isn’t affecting the integrity of the setup,so I would prefer not to create more waste by removing the piece. Thank you Valor!

Excellent quality and not too difficult to install yourself with the correct tools. Additional helping hands to hold it in position while attaching the bolts is a plus. I removed part of the Sheetrock where the bars attach to get a stronger bond to the wall 2x4’s.

I love this pull up mount! This product is awesome! I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to get a highly affordable/great quality product for under 150 bucks! That is just crazy for the quality that you are receiving. This is the same with all products from Valor Fitness, I have yet to have any problems with anything I buy from them. They have a small super awesome team and blazing fast customer support! They are my favorite brand when it comes to all things fitness. The only thing I will say which is not Valor's fault, there is a lot of particle dust from the drilling of the holes into the metal. Just make sure you get that out of the metal before you put it up on your wall.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • Could I move the chin up bar portion a few inches closer to the wall on the support arms by redrilling new holes?

You can make those changes as I don't think it will cause any issues but doing so will void your warranty

  • It says suggested wall mount to cement. Can it not be mounted to walls with studs (2x4's)? or is it because of the mounting hardware included with the pull up system that it cant be mounted to a regular wall with studs.

Thanks for your question! We suggest cement, but it can be mounted to studs.
