So I walk around banging into things all the time. I was skeptical that this product would do much to fix that, but it turns out that it really does help improve my sense of balance. It's also a bit of a workout in itself, because when I first started using it I had such poor balance that I was using every muscle to correct myself and stay upright. I should point out that you will never fall down because of this thing. It tilts at such an angle that if you do go too far over you really don't end up being tipped off the board. My wife and I consistently use this every day. It's very convenient. Just put it on the floor near a place you frequent. We have it in a place where we end up using it numerous times per day.

A few tricks can up the challenge level a bit once you master balancing on this thing. 1) Try twisting at your waist, back and forth without falling (works your core section). 2) Do it with your eyes closed (your visual and balance centers in your brain are very close together and work together, so closing your eyes forces your balance center to do all the processing.) 3) Try simply rocking side to side, touch each side to the ground in turn. When you do this, it's like a stair-climbing exercise that also involves balance. 4) Try standing on one leg, foot placed right in the center of the board. Then, do same but with eyes closed. This is a bit of an advanced move and not a good idea for everyone.

So far I find this is a good board and good quality , good for what the intended purpose is.

Exactly what I expected. I have tiled floor so the plastic underside would probably get crushed so I used a section of old rug but changed a thin door mat and it's perfect. Since I am nearly 70 years old, this board promotes balance for me. It also helps me with strengthening my leg muscles.

great quality board - have returned two others because they did not meet the standard. This is VERY challenging, but over a bit of time, the entire family has gotten better. Great for my son's PT, great for all of us building core strength.
