Elevate your cable machine workouts with our solid steel 28", 38", and 48" Lat Pulldown Bars. Perfect for lat pulldowns, triceps pushdowns, bicep curls, and more, these durable bars feature rubber knurled grips for a secure hold and a swivel center for smooth rotation.

Built for heavy-duty use, they are an ideal addition to any home or commercial gym. These versatile cable attachments are compatible with most cable machines, functional trainers, and power rack attachments, helping you achieve your fitness goals with precision and ease.

Features and Benefits:

  • STEEL CONSTRUCTION: Solid steel design with chrome plating for long-lasting durability, making it one of the best lat pulldown bar options available. A 600lb weight capacity allows you to pull during the toughest workouts.
  • RUBBER KNURLED GRIPS: Designed for comfort and security, these slip-resistant rubber knurled grips ensure a firm hold, even without gloves. The separate rubber grip sections allow you to easily adjust your hand positioning while maintaining the same comfortable, secure grip throughout your workout.
  • SWIVEL CENTER: A rotating center metal section ensures smooth, unrestricted rotation, allowing your lat bar cable attachment to rotate freely while keeping your grip steady.
  • VERSATILE GRIP OPTIONS: Designed to target various muscle groups, these bars allow users to adjust their hand positioning to suit different exercises. The standard grip is ideal for focusing on the triceps and biceps, while the wide grip targets the lats. The upward angle in the center of the bar enhances triceps activation, making it more effective when using the standard grip.
  • ADDITIONAL: 1/4” opening attaches easily to cable clips and carabiners for use with cabled weight machines. Designed for seamless use with cable machines, functional trainers, and other workout equipment like Valor Fitness Wall Mounted Cable Machine, Cable Crossover Machine, or Lat Pulldown Machine.

Which length is right for you?

  • 28” Lat Pulldown Bar: Ideal for a wide range of exercises, such as lat pull-downs, triceps pushdowns, and bicep curls. The 28” bar provides a balanced grip for users looking for flexibility and muscle targeting in a compact space.
  • 38” Lat Pulldown Bar: A wider option that enhances your lat pull-down workouts. This lat pulldown bar attachment is perfect for those seeking more grip space to effectively target the lats and surrounding muscles.
  • 48” Lat Pulldown Bar: The widest bar, designed for those who want maximum grip area and a broader range of motion. Perfect for wide-grip lat pulldowns and working larger muscle groups. Includes an extra grip area for even more targeted workout options.

Great size, shape and heft. Very heavy duty and strong. No rust, and the center pivot nicely greased. Good grips.

I really have nothing bad to say about this. Recommended.

This is a commercial gym-quality lat pull down bar, which is exactly what I wanted. It is heavy duty and made incredibly well. If you are looking for a commercial grade lat bar, I highly recommend this bar. The quality control before shipping could be a little better. The rotating midsection had excess grease on it upon arrival; but with rubbing one paper towel along the bar a couple of times, it was easily cleaned up. Great buy.

Purchased this lat bar in November 2015.
Solid, High Quality, the center peice that hooks onto the cable rotates (which, to me is a must). The rubber grips are fantastic for improving grip and they don't move or slide at all.
No complaints. I replaced a cheaper Lat Bar with this one and soooo glad I did. Highly recommended for the serious lifter!

July 2016 Update:
Unfortuanlty, around two months ago one of the rubber grips on the end of the bar began to slide/rotate. I've been trying to use the bar in this condition for the past little bit, hoping to get used to it and that it wouldn't really affect my workouts, but it does. My left grip/wrist/palm stays perfectly stationary and is strong, but my right grip starts twisting/rotating the rubber and ends up at a slighly different angle than my other hand and is a much weaker and painful grip. This makes using the bar very unblanaced. The grip isn't slidding off of the metal bar, it's just rotating around it.

In any case, for the first few months I had this bar it was AWESOME! I've updated my reveiw from 5-star to 3-star, however, because it looks like I'll have to get a replacement. :-(

Solid piece of equipment. Rubber grips where you need them for varying hand placement. Why did I wait so long? Came well packaged with no damage.

I've been using this bar in conjunction with my heavy bag stand to do chin-ups for the last 7 months, and it has held up well. The only con I'd mention is related to not using it for its intended use (as a lat pull down bar) - that is, my hand placement when performing close and wide-grip chin-ups falls just outside of where the rubberized grips are positioned on the bar. This causes the edges to sort of dig into my hands, but this is a very minor gripe and is easily addressed if I slip on a pair of training gloves.

I'd take off just half a star if possible, as I feel the price is a "little* high. So far though, the coating is holding up and the bearing between the bar and its mounting tab still moves easily and isn't noisy during operation.

Great bar! The only issue is the center rotating part being overly greased and it coming out, but after a bit of cleanup it is fine. The bar has great grips in all the right places and is HEAVY! These are not the typical cheaply made bars. Honestly these are better quality than any I have found at the many gyms I have been at through my life.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • I know that this says 'lat bar', but it looks more like an EZ bar to me. Is this recommended for curls or any other exercises than lat pulldowns?

The curves on the MB-28 lat bar are not as severe as the EZ bar. You could use this as a curl bar if you wanted but it is best used as a lat bar for the wide grip option.
